Summer of Discovery 2021

 

After School Discovery is offering Summer of Discovery, a unique 5 week adventure of exploration and personal growth to a select number of Ashtabula Area City School students at NO CHARGE to the families.  One of our goals for the children who completed the Summer of Discovery program is to be supremely confident and thoroughly prepared for success as they enter school in the fall.

 

Summer of Discovery 2021 for students entering KINDERGARTEN:

  • Held at HURON Primary School

  • 8:30 am - 12:00 pm

  • Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays June 22nd - July 22nd

  • Children will receive breakfast and lunch provided by through the Ashtabula Area City                      Schools Nutrition Services Department.

  • Students will participate in number sense and letters, social skills, bus safety along with                     movement and fitness.  If possible, the children will be scheduled to attend one field trip                      off campus

  • Transportation to and from the program will be available through Richmond Transportation at no charge

Summer of Discovery 2021 for students entering 1st grade through 4th grade:

  • Held at HURON Primary School

  • 8:30 am - 2:30 pm

  • Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays June 22nd - July 22nd

  • Children will receive breakfast and lunch provided by through the Ashtabula Area City                     Schools Nutrition Services Department.

  • Students will participate in academic laced lessons, enrichment opportunities along with                     movement and fitness.  If possible, the children will be scheduled to attend one field trip                      off campus

  • Transportation to and from the program will be available through Richmond Transportation at no charge

QUEST 305 Summer of Discovery 2021 for students entering 7th through 9th grade:

  • Held at LAKESIDE JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL

  • 9:30 am - 3:30 pm

  • Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays June 22nd - July 22nd

  • Children will receive breakfast and lunch provided by through the Ashtabula Area City Schools Nutrition Services Department.

  • Students will participate in academic laced lessons, enrichment opportunities along with movement and fitness.  Field trips to colleges, trade schools and local businesses will help them connect their career exploration studies

  • Transportation to and from the program will be available through Richmond Transportation at no charge
