Celebrate Primary

After School Discovery has been blessed to be part of our Ashtabula County Children's lives for over 25 years.  Providing academic coaching and enrichments of art, music, theatre, dance and STEM -- AND, doing it our way!

Celebrate Primary is one of our new after school program for children currently in 1st and 2nd grade at the Wade Avenue Campus. 

This extended learning development center program is available to your child at no charge and is funded through an Ohio Department of Education’s Nita M Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant. After School Discovery is also licensed through Ohio Department of Job and Family Services



  • Fall session September 19, 2022 to December 9, 2022.  Winter session January 23, 2023 to May 5, 2023

  • Held Monday through Friday from 2 pm to 5 pm at Huron Primary School in room A128

  • Celebrate Primary will be closed when school is not in session for students

Celebrate Primary Offers:

  • Support for your child’s academics and social/emotional skill development

  • Expanding experiences with fun enriching activities (like Fun with Food, Yoga, CATCH, Inlet Dance,

  • Keyboarding, Art Club, Legos, Music, Game Time, and Story Time etc.)

  • Benefits from the guidance of After School Discover staff and the opportunity to experience small group work and structured social time that supports your child in growing academically, socially, and developmentally.

  • After their school day dismissal, your child will be transitioned from their school building to Celebrate Primary staff and given a snack


  • Transportation home at 5:00 pm is available through Richmond Transportation at no charge

  • Parents can choose to pick up your children at 5 pm – there is a separate outside entrance at A134 located at the right side of the HURON building off the parent drive loop.


  • Students need to enroll for a minimum of 3 days a week.

  • CELEBRATE PRIMARY will follow all COVID-19 protocols as recommended by ODJFS, ODE, the City Health Department, and Ashtabula Area City Schools.  We will continue to alert you of any changes in protocols​​​
