After School Discovery has been blessed to be part of our Ashtabula County Children's lives for over 25 years.  Providing academic coaching and enrichments of art, music, theatre, dance and STEM -- AND, doing it our way!

Celebrate Primary is one of our new after school program for children currently in 1st and 2nd grade at the Wade Avenue Campus in B123. 

​

This extended learning development center program is available to your child at no charge and is funded through an Ohio Department of Education’s Nita M Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant. After School Discovery is also licensed through Ohio Department of Job and Family Services

 

Hours: 

• Fall session September 18, 2023 to December 8, 2023.  Winter session February 5, 2024 to April 19, 2024

• Held Monday through Friday from 7:15 am to 8:15 am and 2 pm to 5:30 pm at Huron Primary School in room B123

• Celebrate Primary will be closed when school is not in session for students

Celebrate Primary Offers:

• Support for your child’s academics and social/emotional skill development

• Expanding experiences with fun enriching activities (like Fun with Food, Yoga, CATCH, Inlet Dance,

• Keyboarding, Art Club, Legos, Music, Game Time, and Story Time etc.)

• Benefits from the guidance of After School Discover staff and the opportunity to experience small group work and structured social time that supports your child in growing academically, socially, and developmentally.

• Children attending in the morning will be transitioned to their school building in time for breakfast.  After their school day dismissal, your child will be transitioned from their school building to Celebrate Primary staff and given a snack

Transportation:

• Transportation home at 5:30 pm is available through Sunset Taxi Transportation at no charge

• Parents can choose to pick up your children at 5:30 pm – Held at Huron Primary School in our rooms in the B wing (B122 and B123).  Entry is through the entrance through the north door along Wade avenue - the 2nd door on the left along the sidewalk past the playground,  Ring the bell.

Requirements:

• Students need to enroll for a minimum of 3 afternoons a week. ​​​​
